The Juell name has long been associated with pioneering founders. From Helly Juell Hansen, the visionary behind Helly Hansen, to Andreas Juell, who played a key role in building NKL (Norges Kooperative Landsforening) — now known as Coop.

From vision to growth
Andreas Juell led NKL for almost 30 years, from 1919 to 1948, during which the organization grew from 71,000 to 265,000 members and expanded from 295 to 1,098 cooperatives. He also helped establish Samvirke Insurance in 1930 and Samvirkebanken in 1935.
